After taking the US by storm at this year’s CMJ festival and being named one of the Top 11 Bands you should know, Little May have returned to their native Australia and aren’t losing steam, heading straight back on the road to open for Rodriguez on his national tour before setting off on their own highly anticipated headline tour.

CMJ was a whirlwind week for the Sydney-based band who played songs from their new self-titled EP, out now on Capitol Records via Dew Process. Their string of sold out shows won over fans and music critics alike who were enchanted with their dark, haunting harmonies.

Bob Boilen of NPR named them in his Top 10 Discoveries at CMJ writing the band “thrives on sad songs sung in three-part harmony and strummed hard on acoustic guitar.” and noted “It wasn’t lost on me that it’s the very same room that, four years previous, I first heard the lovely harmonies of First Aid Kit, a band that certainly shares a similarly comfortable aesthetic.”

They also sat down to speak with Interview Magazine as part as their Discovery Feature, who describe their sound as “dark folk melodies with haunting lyrics.”

Little May are currently working on their debut full length to be released on Capitol Records via Dew Process in 2015 and after making quite the introduction with their recent NYC and LA shows, it is only the beginning for Little May.
