Olympia, WA bred singer/songwriter Ethan Tucker has come a long way in his 24 years.  Having already self-released his first two albums, Ethan is poised to release his next full length studio album Misunderstood, produced by Mario Caldato Jr (Beastie Boys, Tone Loc) sometime in 2015 with indie label, Controlled Substance Sound Labs.  In the meantime, Tucker has shared a FREE EP ACOUSTIC IN LA with fans via his website www.ethantuckermusic.com. The EP is comprised of 3 originals (from forthcoming album Misunderstood), a version of The Police’s “Roxanne,” Bon Iver’s “Flume.”

In support of his new EP, Ethan just hit the road this week with close friend and musical mentor/collaborator Michael Franti for a run of acoustic shows along the west coast. The two first met in Sun Valley, Idaho in 2009, when a teenage Tucker snuck backstage to meet the venerated Franti.  A few years later, and after playing him a recently written song, Michael invited Ethan to his San Francisco recording studio, where the two cut “Cool Kids” and “Crazy Tonight” for Tucker’s album as well as co-writing “Let It Go” which was featured in the film Spark: A Burning Man Story.

The past few years on the road have been busy for Ethan, having opened for Jimmy Cliff on the 40th anniversary of The Harder They Come tour, the 20th anniversary of G Love & Special Sauce groundbreaking self-titled album, as well as playing numerous shots with both Michael Franti and Slightly Stoopid.
