Nashville-based singer-songwriter Jane Ellen Bryant releases her new single, “Here We Are”, a follow up track to her acclaimed sophomore album Hourglass. The Americana-folk song features Bryant’s soaring, ethereal vocals and recently premiered on Twang Nation.

Jane Ellen Bryant released her sophomore album Hourglass in October 2013, which debuted at #11 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart. “Here We Are” is a follow up single to the critically-acclaimed album and is yet another example of Bryant’s ability to bridge the gap between the timelessness of the folk singer-songwriter tradition and the real-good feel-good power of southern rock. The track also features Bryant’s introspective lyrics. She sings,

Here we are
Loving like it’s one of our chores
Here we are
Closing every open door

Of the single, Jane Ellen Bryant says, “I was inspired to write this song after the Haiti earthquake a few years back. Horrible natural disasters like that remind us of how little control we have over our lives. We can never understand why bad things happen to good people, but we can make the most of the here and now and remember what’s most important in life.”
