Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside had already earned a serious reputation in Portland, OR when they caught their big break last year—two sold out shows with The Avett Brothers at The Crystal Ballroom. The roots superstars were so enamored with Ford’s sound that they asked her to return with them to North Carolina to open their annual New Year’s Eve blowout in Asheville.
