Acclaimed blues, roots-rock, and country revival trio GA-20 are thrilled to release their third album Crackdown, available everywhere now via Karma Chief Records / Colemine Records. To ring in the release, the band has shared album highlight “Fairweather Friend” — listen HERE.
The album garnered significant praise in advance of its release — No Depression said that “As far as current purveyors of the blues go, GA-20 is near the top of the heap. With Crackdown, the band is poised to stay that way for years to come,” while American Songwriter praised the album’s “explosive energy” in a 4/5-star review. In yet another rave review, Uncut said “There’s something about the funky syncopation between the two and their slightly punky sensibility that elevates GA-20 way above so many dreary blues revivalists.”
Recently, the band released the “tear in my beer” country blues track “Dry Run,” which premiered via Bluegrass Situation. In their new collection of songs, GA-20 channel a throwback blues sound with a facelift fit for modern day ears — complete with gritty and melodic tunes that the jukeboxes of 2022 will most certainly be spinning.
