Turkuaz shares their latest music video, this time for single “Heat Drop” which comes from last year’s Kuadrochrome EP. The video, directed by Dani Brandwein, can be watched via the Turkuaz official YouTube Channel: youtu.be/VJg4B2GRoS8.

“This video gives a glimpse into the meaning of the song. I seem to enjoy tackling some darker issues and themes in our lyrics to contrast the upbeat and fun vibe often found in the music. This song and video are no exception. The ‘Heat Drop’ refers to anger and rage getting the best of our protagonist (in this video, and often in life—the protagonist is me). These feelings slowly but surely emerge from within, to become a towering beast who won’t be happy until I’m dead! It’s fun for the whole family!”

After a lengthy headlining tour behind Kuadrochrome that highlighted the band evolving into a fresh, cohesive era, Turkuaz took some time off the road but will return on March 21st as a headliner of the 2020 iteration of Brooklyn Comes Alive, where special guests Cory Henry, Robert Sput Searight and Nate Werth are set to join.

Directly following, Turkuaz will bring the Kuadrochrome tour to six additional cities including Fayatteville, AR at George’s Majestic Lounge, Dallas, TX at Deep Ellum Art Company, Houston, TX at Last Concert Cafe, Austin, TX at Mohawk, Little Rock, AR at Revolution Music Room and a headlining date during Jazz Fest weekend one at Tiptina’s in New Orleans, LA.

During Jazz Fest weekend two, Turkuaz will kick off their special Remain in Light run, featuring Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew, in celebration of the Talking Heads record’s 40th anniversary. Harrison recently sat down with Rolling Stone to discuss the limited run of dates, which sees the collaboration play Red Rocks Amphitheater alongside The Motet and Rubblebucket, and a handful of festival stops including BottleRock Festival, Bonnaroo Music & Art Festival, Electric Forest, Peach Music Festival and FloydFest. Recently, two Canadian appearances were added to the Remain in Light schedule this July—Ottawa Bluesfest and Festival d’été de Québec.
