Fur Peace Ranch Guitar Camp is a music instruction camp founded by legendary guitarist Jorma Kaukonen and his wife Vanessa in the hills of rural SE Ohio. With workshops, concerts, fairs, and exhibits at the Psylodelic Gallery, the Fur Peace Ranch nourishes the soul while educating the mind and the fingers. Workshops scheduled for 2015 include:

The Fur Peace Ranch “On The Road” 2015 workshops return to The Dana on Mission Bay in San Diego, California. Take a break from winter’s woes while learning from master musicians Jorma Kaukonen, G.E. Smith, and Larry Campbell. San Diego’s perfect climate and the premier beach setting at The Dana will be our home. Join us.

Music and San Diego’s beauty draws you in and surrounds you with delight at this premier waterfront resort. Join the workshop and bring friends and family along. There’s plenty to do for all…or just lie back, relax, strum a few notes. It is a short trip to downtown San Diego and walking distance to Sea World. Mission Bay Park, a 4,600 acre wonderland is right next door. The Dana has it all!

February 02-06, 2015
Jorma Kaukonen – Songwriting – All Levels
We will be demystifying the creative process, hopefully opening the door where each student will write songs without being intimidated by the process.

G.E. Smith – Leading the Way with the Acoustic Guitar
This workshop will explore the basics of blues and rock guitar and will provide the tools for creating exciting, dynamic lead solos.

February 09–13, 2015
Jorma Kaukonen – Words Cannot Express
In this workshop Jorma’s focus will be teaching his instrumentals. These songs seem to come from his fingers and go straight to the listener’s heart

Larry Campbell – Advanced Fingerstyle Guitar
In this workshop Larry will explore and breakdown licks, movable chord positions, bass lines, harmonies and complex fingerpicking patterns.
