R&B-soul fusion band Soul Track Mind announces the release of their new single “Foolin’ Around”, the title track from their forthcoming full-length album Unbreakable, out September 16th. This seven-piece band produces soulful vocals with a blend of funk, rock and jazz. Soul Track Mind creates progressive, modern music that draws influences from soul and blues classics like Bobby Womack and Sam Cooke, while their powerful horn section keeps the music upbeat and energetic.
Soul Track Mind began in 2008 when lead singer Donovan Keith moved to Austin, Texas. They released their debut album Ghost of Soul in 2010, of which Austin360 said, it “hints at the band’s ample promise and immense musical chops.” The group released their second album in April 2013, leading to their front-cover feature in Texas Music Magazine last summer. Since then, the band has toured across the country. Of their live show, Performer Magazine says, “Aside from showcasing an impressive vocal range and blues-soaked sound, Keith can engage an audience with his unbridled enthusiasm and dance moves.” Produced by C.J. Eiriksson (U2, Phish), Something To Work With is Soul Track Mind’s third full-length album.
The San-Antonio Express News raves, “The East Austin-tempered soul band serves it up old-school style with deep grooves, pumping horns, rock-solid rhythm and undeniable hot licks designed to propel dancers…Soul Track Mind is the real thing.”Unbreakable drops this fall. Stay tuned for more from Soul Track Mind!
