Pink Floyd's David Gilmour Joined Ben Watt On 5/19 in London, First Ever US Dates This June

Reprising his role on Ben Watt’s HendraPink Floyd’s David Gilmour joined Watt on stage on 5/19 for a sold out performance at London’s Islington Assembly Hall. As reported in the Financial Times, who gave the show a 4 out of 5 star review, Watt was “was aided by some classy accompanists, including ex-Suede man Bernard Butler, one of the best rock guitarists of his generation, and Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, one of the best guitarists of any generation.”

Gilmour joined Watt and ex-Suede guitarist Bernard Butler for a performance of “The Levels,” where he played pedal steel guitar, and switched to electric guitar for a brilliant performance of “Young Man’s Game.”

The critically acclaimed Hendra, released on April 29th, has earned widespread 4 star reviews from MojoQUncutThe Guardian, and many more. Ann Powers of NPR Music said, “Ben Watt is a master of detail and of quietude… Now, with his first solo album in 31 years, he has returned to highly cultured, intimate song craft.”

This June, Watt will head to the United States for his first ever solo performances aside from his work as a DJ. Just announced are two Q&A’s and readings from “Romany and Tom” at PowerHouse Areana in New York on June 10th and at Book Soup in Los Angeles on June 14th.
