Camden, GA natives Silver Palms will be hitting the road for a headlining tour in the United States this spring. Beginning in Waycross, GA on March 29, the band will head up the East Coast before trekking across the continental US to finish off with dates on the West Coast. The tour will hit major markets including New York (April 7 at Pianos), Chicago (April 12 at Beat Kitchen), and Los Angeles (April 21 at The Satellite). The band are currently on the road in the UK with The Orwells, having just completed a run of dates with Jake Bugg. They will be performing at this year’s SXSW in Austin, TX,. For a list of confirmed tour dates, please see below.
The band is also streaming their new single “Superstar” via Soundcloud. “Superstar” is the A-side of the debut single out March 11 on Canvasclub. “Superstar” b/w “Inevitable,” follows their “Georgia Boy” debut track, which surfaced online last fall. Like “Georgia Boy,” these songs were recorded with producer Alalal (Klaxons, Metronomy). Listen at the link below:

Hailing from the rural swampland of Camden, Georgia, the Silver Palms consist of twin brothers Adam (guitar) and Dalton Drury (vocals/guitar) and their childhood best friends Jordan Scott (drums) and Wade Beahm (bass). They started playing music together their senior year in high school, in 2011. “We’re influenced by an attitude, not a sound,” says Dalton. “We originally got inspired by people like Johnny Cash and bands like Oasis. Y’know – people that mean it, but don’t give a fuck what anyone thinks about them.” They’ve already amassed more than a dozen demos of songs for their debut album, which they plan to release later this year. “We record live to tape,” says Adam. “What you hear is what you get. It’s honest and that’s what we’re about. We’re just doing our own thing. We’re used to not fitting in anyway.” Adds Dalton: “I make music because, growing up, I could rely on music almost like a friend. If we can make music for other people to hang onto like a friend, then our job is done.”
