On the heels of their Aug. 27 self-titled album release, Nashville rock band MODOC has announced four more upcoming releases where fans can get new live, rare and free MODOC tracks.

On Thursday, Oct. 24, MODOC will be the featured artist on the worldwide music discovery app Band Of The Day, where users can stream free album tracks, videos and photos from the band’s debut label release.  To date, Band of the Day has been downloaded nearly 5 million times, finishing second to Instagram as iPhone’s 2011 App of the Year.  Download for iOS here and Android here

Fans can also download full tracks and stream video from The SmoakStack Sessions, filmed in July at Grammy-nominated producer Paul Moak’s Nashville studios.  The live recordings capture a behind-the-scenes look at MODOC delivering full performances of “Coward,” “Devil On My Shoulder” and “Runnin.’”  The SmoakStack Sessions is now available for free via NoiseTrade.

For LP album collectors, a special vinyl edition of MODOC will be released in December.  The initial pressing includes a collectible, translucent blue and white version (limited to 100 units), as well as a standard, 150-gram black vinyl release.  The MODOC LP is due through Soul Step Records, with online pre-orders beginning Nov. 19 at MODOCmusic.com or SoulStepRecords.com.

Last but not least, MODOC will release its first Daytrotter session on Dec. 2, featuring live versions of album tracks, as well as rare, hard-to-find cuts from the band’s earlier, out-of-print releases.  Members of the popular indie music site can download or stream the tracks for a modest membership fee, which grants access to all Daytrotter artist sessions.  Visit Daytrotter.com for more info.

Following 2013 festival performances at SXSW, Summerfest, Loufest, Midpoint Music Festival, Nashville Dancin’ and others, MODOC continues to tour in support of its self-titled release, now available on iTunesAmazon.com and Spotify.  An expanded CD version featuring two additional bonus tracks is also available at MODOCmusic.com.

MODOC is Clint Culberson (vocals, guitars), Kyle Addison (lead guitar, vocals), Caleb Crockett (bass, vocals) and John Carlson (drums, vocals).  For more information, visit MODOCmusic.com or Facebook.com/MODOCmusic.
