Fall brings with it many things, the end of summer, the changes of season and the bounty of the harvest that comes from long months of planning and work. With this in mind, two of the longest-running American Reggae bands have come together for a very special string of select dates in the Northeastern United States.
John Brown’s Body and Groundation are widely recognized as the ground-breaking pioneers of the modern Reggae movement, two bands that have both maintained the history and integrity of the genre while sonically evolving it into the serious times of the 21st Century. Following two highly memorable co-bill shows in the Pacific Northwest in 2012—amazingly their first ever together, after all of these years—both bands instantly decided that the power of the combined groups needed to be recreated and hence the Harvest Roots 2013 Tour was born.
The three-date tour will culminate in the inaugural Reggae On The River NYC, a one-day Reggae festival on October 5th at The Watermark on Pier 15 in New York City. Early bird tickets are now on sale. Lineup and more information coming soon.
From there, John Brown’s Body and Groundation continue the fall separately. JBB travels to Upsate New York and Groundation to South America.
