Young Hines and Readymade Records present the video for “Can’t Explode.” The track, which the Nashville Scene describes as a “loud-quiet-loud dose of savage, belligerent, mean-riffing, bluesy rock ‘n’ roll,” was taken from his new album Give Me My Change, released this past April. Featuring Brendan Benson, Brad Pemberton (Ryan Adams & The Cardinals), and Mark Watrous as the band, the pent up frenetic energy coursing through the song comes to life on film as Young and company attempt to blow the walls off the cramped room they find themselves performing in.

This spring Young hits the road with Brendan Benson in the US and Europe. Tour dates below.

Born in Georgia and legally named Young on account of being the youngest in a family of seven, he began playing music at age 12 and hasn’t stopped since. Within a few years he was recording his first songs, and in high school began releasing his music via tape cassette, selling copies out of a local record shop called Turtles. Chance encounters led to a relationship with Brendan Benson, who eventually expressed his interest in helping Young produce an album to release on his new label Readymade Records. The album was recorded at the all analog Nashville studio Welcome to 1979, a perfect fit for Young’s soulful bluesy retro-pop style.
