Roadrunner Records/Loud & Proud is excited to announce that Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s new album How I Go debuted at #1 on the Blues chart.  Kenny, who appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on August 4th, takes the #52 position on the top 200, the #11 Rock album, as well as the #39 spot on the digital albums chart.

Released on August 2, How I Go not only serves as a strong reminder of the chops that caused Guitar World magazine to place him right behind B.B. King and Eric Clapton on their list of best blues guitarists, but it’s the strongest indication yet of his gifted songwriting talent. The hard-rocking, blues-based, guitar-driven album sounds young and fresh, yet it has that distinctive energy and vibe drawn from the deep heritage of the genre.

USA Today praised the How I Go, awarding the record 3.5 stars and noting “Shepherd explores several shadings, from countrified (Show Me the Way Back Home) to electro-charged (most notably a Hendrix-ian cover of Albert King’s Oh, Pretty Woman), slow-burning (Heat of the Sun) and Allman-esque (Backwater Blues).” The Boston Globe proclaimed “Called a blues prodigy for years, Kenny Wayne Shepherd has now vaulted to master.”
