Down on the Bayou III – A benefit for the New Orleans Musician's Clinic May 5th, 2011 Howlin' Wolf- New Orleans, LA

Down on the Bayou III, a special benefit for the New Orleans Musician’s Clinic takes place this year Thursday, May 5th at the Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans. Since 1998, the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic (NOMC) has been dedicated to keeping New Orleans’ performers alive in body, mind, and spirit by providing comprehensive health care and mental health/social services.

“The success of Down of the Bayou III is more vital to the mission of the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic & Assistance Foundation than ever this year, as we strive to fund the medical and social services that keep New Orleans music alive.  We are deeply grateful to Jojo Hermann and the many musicians who participate in Down on the Bayou III. For every $1 we raise we can provide $3 worth of medical services,” stated Bethany Bultman, President (NOMC/AF).

Down on the Bayou III features JoJo Hermann (Widespread Panic) and His Mardi Gras Band with George Porter Jr., Marcia Ball, Irma Thomas, Ivan Neville, Taylor Hicks, and the revered Col. Bruce Hampton. Stay tuned, as more special guests will be announced in waves over the next few weeks.
