For three hallowed days, we shine a spotlight on the roots and branches of traditional bluegrass — high and lonesome, hard and driving, gorgeous and supremely soulful. Festivarians return year after year for the music on the main stage, along with the music everywhere else — band and instrument contests; workshops in the Wildflower Pavilion; and musicians of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds behind every tree and tent sharing in the sound and spirit of bluegrass music.

Widely regarded as one of the world’s greatest pickin’ scenes, RockyGrass welcomes every Festivarian into jam circle — whether the jam is tubing the St. Vrain with the kids, gathering at the camp or tarp for dinner, or trading mandolin breaks into the wee hours. The sense of community, camaraderie, and collaboration defines RockyGrass and draws generations of Festivarians back to Lyons every July.
