Todd Albright announces new EP, shares video

Third Man Records is proud to announce Todd Albright‘s latest EP, Detroit Twelve String Blues & Rags, featuring his take on songs by Blind Willie McTell, George Carter, and Leadbelly. The first music from the EP comes in the video for “Kill It Kid,” Albright’s cover of the Blind Willie McTell classic. The track is also available on Soundcloud. The release will be available next Friday March 10th online, in the Nashville and Detroit Third Man Records locations and at your local record store. Stay tuned for details for a special release day event at Cass Corridor and tour dates throughout the U.S. this Spring and Summer.
Todd Albright is a Country Blues, finger-style twelve-string guitar player and singer living in Detroit, Michigan. Todd brings to life an era of Delta greats such as Blind Lemon Jefferson, Sylvester Weaver, and Skip James.

He first heard Country Blues at the age of twelve, and he immediately became a self-taught student of the genre aiming solely to interpret the sounds of the masters. Todd has performed across the U.S solo, alongside his former country blues string band The Staving Chain, and on stage with notable musicians and friends such as Dakota Dave Hull, Roy Book Binder, Charlie Parr, and Paul Geremia.
