Rolling Stone’s 3.5 STAR lead review, on sale now, gushes: “In Musselwhite, Harper has found a kindred spirit: an understated virtuoso able to push past tradition without losing himself. They’ve made a set that feels timeless and right on schedule – a reminder that great blues records are, alas, always timely.” In a pair of 4-star reviews, Uncut called the album “excellent,” while MOJO proclaimed, “[Musselwhite’s] tender harmonica beautifully counterpoints Harper’s bruised, emotionally charged vocals.”
