Old Crow Medicine Show (OCMS) are excited to announce a new tour beginning on November 15 in Madison, WI and concluding on December 6 in Tulsa, OK. Following the tour, the band will be making three appearances on the Grand Old Opry in Nashville this December before headlining a sold-out New Year’s Eve show at the Ryman Auditorium. In early 2013, the band return to Europe for a handful of tour dates. In the spring, OCMS will be playing at this year’s Stagecoach Festival in Indio, CA. OCMS headlined a sold-out tour this past summer with The Lumineers and The Milk Carton Kids. For the band’s full itinerary, please see below.
OCMS are touring in support of their fourth full-length studio album, Carry Me Back, which was released on July 17. The album achieved the highest chart position in the band’s career. The album was #1 on both the Bluegrass and Folk charts and was the #4 Country album in the nation that week, and it has been #1 on the Billboard Bluegrass charts for 16 weeks. Carry Me Backwas produced by Ted Hutt (Gaslight Anthem, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly).
OCMS are also featured on the upcoming The Music Is You: A Tribute To John Denver album to be released in February 2013. The tribute compilation features covers of songs by the seminal country singer, including Old Crow Medicine Show’s cover of “Back Home Again.” Other artists on the compilation include Dave Matthews Band, My Morning Jacket, Train, Lucinda Williams, Brandi Carlile, Kathleen Edwards, and others.
The film Big Easy Express, a documentary about last year’s Railroad Revival Tour with OCMS, Mumford & Sons, and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, is currently available for purchase as a Blu-Ray/DVD Combo pack. The film is playing in theaters in the US and Canada. Current screenings and dates can be found here: http://www.bigeasyexpress.com/see-the-film.html
OCMS (Ketch Secor, Critter Fuqua, Kevin Hayes, Morgan Jahnig, Gill Landry, and Chance McCoy) spend most of their time on the road, and have made a name for themselves as energetic performers with an unbridled spirit.
