Tons of exciting things going on in the world of Deer Tick.  First and foremost, the band is releasing its new album, Divine Providence, this Monday (October 24th) via Partisan Records and it can be streamed in its entirety over at SPIN.com.  Initial feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and we’re all very excited for the album to be heard.
It’s no secret that albums typically have good stories from the recording studio and we wanted to make sure we shared this as people are sitting with the record for the first time.  Not only to add context to the record, but also because we’re music geeks too and know this is something we always love to see.  Deer Tick teamed up with Ryan Henriquez, who produced and directed documentary style-episodes from the recording studio and beyond, shedding light on some of the stories and laughs that influenced Divine Providence.

For Episode 2, the band will be choosing one lucky fan to exclusively premiere the video on his or her Facebook page. Fans are being asked to tell the band why he or she deserves to get the video first via Deer Tick’s Facebook page.  It’s amazing to hear all the personal experiences and stories and experiences related to Deer Tick via hundreds of tickheads have shared their stories so far.  The winner will be chosen and announced Thursday, October 20th at  Facebook.com/DeerTick.  Want more?  There’s an episode 3 to come shortly!
