National Bluegrass/Country Rock band Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand are pleased to announce the upcoming release of their new live album, Live Vol. 2, on Tydal Wave Records. This year, the Billboard-charting band celebrates 25 years of performing for packed concert halls, amphitheaters and music festivals across the US. They recorded this new album to share some of their riveting, dynamic and beloved live shows, including from their sold-out annual Sandy Amphitheater show in Utah. Live Vol. 2 includes 18 of the band’s most popular songs, including their Top 20 hit, “Dream Big.” Live Vol. 2 will be sold at the band’s live shows this summer and at RyanShupe.net and later released on major digital music platforms on August 20th.
Having performed over hundreds of live shows and released 8 previous albums, Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand have no plans of stopping. The Live Vol. 2 album was mixed and mastered by Silvio Richetto, who also engineered the band’s chart-topping Dream Big album.
Winning over live audiences has been Shupe’s natural-born talent since childhood. A fifth-generation fiddler, he started performing with his siblings at age 10. Shupe later formed the RubberBand, and the band took the long-running Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Colorado by storm, winning the live band contest. This launched them into the national music scene and, after signing with Capitol Records, they hit #13 on Billboard’s US Country Album Chart with their signature album, Dream Big. Their title track from that album continues to be an audience favorite, and has garnered over 2.1 million streams on Spotify.
No Depression raves, “Shupe is a mandolin player sans pareil… he sings with extraordinary bravura. This man loves what he does and he takes his band along and they’re quite adept.”
Bluegrass Unlimited calls Ryan Shupe & The RubberBand a “Fresh hybrid of new music influenced by bluegrass but featuring the percussive fervor of rock, rap and other styles…They bring imaginative arrangements and daring musicianship to their quintet sound.”
Salt Lake City Weekly says about the band, “Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand are pros without peer… their intense performance went far beyond “good,” try humbling.”
Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand’s new Live Vol. 2 album comes out on August 20th. Check their website for special pre-release promotional deals and upcoming live shows.
