The 6th Suwannee Roots Revival takes place Thursday, October 13 – Sunday, October 16 at the renowned Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Florida. Jam-packed with stellar music and dance on multiple stages throughout the extended weekend, this family-friendly festival includes four days of music, camping, yoga, music workshops, a Kids Tent, as well as campground pickin’ sessions. Set in the midst of 800 acres of Spanish moss-draped oak and cypress trees along the Suwannee River, the venue is a playground for endless activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, disc golf, and biking.

We are excited to announce the daily music schedule for this incredible lineup for a full weekend of unforgettable memories, musical favorites, and news discoveries!

Regarding the hurricane, Festival Director Beth Judy says, “While hurricanes are part of our life here in Florida, no matter how prepared we are, the effects of storms like Hurricane Ian are devastating. The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park was spared any damage this time, but many members of our staff, attendees, vendors, and artists—along with friends and family—were affected by Ian in some way. Please remember that even though the storm goes away rather quickly, thousands of people will still be dealing with the effects for months afterwards, some losing everything. We send our love and positive energy to everyone dealing with this and encourage anyone who is able to make a donation of time, supplies, or money to help our neighbors out. If donating cash, local charities such as the gofundme ‘Emergency Supplies for Pine Island Hurricane Ian’ is a good one, and there are others—just do a little research and find what legitimate charity resonates with you. Pay it Forward!”

“As we move from the hot summer to the cooler evenings of fall, the thought of our amazing community gathering for Suwannee Roots Revival in a couple weeks leaves me filled with excitement and anticipation!” Beth says, “JJ Grey & Mofro, Punch Brothers, 5 sets of Donna the Buffalo, and so many of our favorite artists will bring the music that moves our souls–our extraordinary festival family will revive us all! Do yourself a favor and join the family for a full long weekend to close out the festival season.”

Artists performing include Friday night headliners—JJ Grey & Mofro— and Saturday night headliners—Punch Brothers. Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, Donna the Buffalo, Verlon Thompson, and Rev Jeff Mosier Ensemble all play Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Thursday night holds strong with a headlining set by Larry Keel Experience, bookend by performances with Jim Lauderdale Band and Jon Stickley Trio (Late Night) on the Amphitheater Stage. AJ Lee and Blue Summit, Joe Craven & The Y’allterations will be playing the Porch Stage and you can catch Nikki Talley and Jason Sharp in the Music Hall along with other talented artists performing throughout the park to kick off the weekend.
