The epic tour marks the premiere live run from Cory and the Wongnotes following their debut earlier this year on Cory and the Wongnotes, the inventive new online variety series created and hosted by the seemingly inexhaustible Wong. The eight-episode series – which features live performances, original sketch comedy, special guests, interviews, and much more – was met by applause from such publications as Guitar World, which declared, “The master of funk wastes no time in picking up where he left off in 2020, with a show that boasts funky music, funny sketches and a number of special guests…a dizzying display of musical talent and comedic brilliance.” Cory and the Wongnotes is streaming now exclusively via Wong’s hugely popular YouTube channel.

Cory and the Wongnotes are also featured on CORY AND THE WONGNOTES, Wong’s first new album of 2021 after releasing an astounding eight original albums in 2020. The album – which collects music from Season 1 of Cory and the Wongnotes – includes the singles, “Coming Back Around (Feat. Cody Fry)” and “United (Feat. Antwaun Stanley),” both streaming now across all digital platforms. CORY AND THE WONGNOTES is available digitally HERE and on limited edition vinyl HERE.

Cory and the Wongnotes made their national television debut earlier this year an exuberant live #PLAYATHOME performance of “Bluebird” featuring legendary sax man Eddie Barbash on CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Wong has also recently announced a series of European live dates, set to get underway July 2 at Lewes, England’s Love Supreme Jazz Festival 2021 and then resume in October with headline shows in Spain, Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. CORY AND THE WONGNOTES marks the first album in what will undoubtedly be another busy year for the indefatigable Wong. An array of releases are slated through 2021 including the recently announced THE GOLDEN HOUR, a new album recorded in collaboration with GRAMMY® Award-nominated saxophonist Dave Koz. The album – which sees the two musical masters leading a live-in-the-studio session backed by members of The Wongnotes and a horn section arranged by Prince’s chief horn arranger, Michael Nelson – arrives at all DSPs and streaming services on Friday, June 11.

Wong and Koz will celebrate THE GOLDEN HOUR with a special virtual concert event featuring a performance of the album in its entirety, streaming live from the rooftop of a houseboat cruising Minneapolis’ St. Croix River at sunset. The livestream concert – which will feature backing from Wong’s band – will be broadcast via Looped on Saturday, June 12 at TIME TK. Tickets are available now HERE, with all ticket purchases accompanied by a digital copy of THE GOLDEN HOUR.
