Surprise Star-Studded Performance Takes Place at Porsche’s 70th Anniversary

On Friday night, at the Porsche 70th anniversary celebration in Monterey, CA, Dhani Harrison hosted a celebrity-packed surprise concert event featuring performances from Bob Weir of Grateful Dead, Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction, Seal, and Alison Mosshart of The Kills and The Dead Weather. A cast of renowned musicians including Benmont Tench and Steve Ferrone of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Nikolai Fraiture of The Strokes, Brian Bell of Weezer, Noah Harmon of The Airbone Toxic Event, and Josh Giroux backed the star-studded show. The set list incorporated tons of legendary classic hit songs, with everything from The Grateful Dead’s “Touch Of Grey”, Tom Petty’s “Breakdown”, The Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy for the Devil” to David Bowie’s “Moonage Daydream” and Jimi Hendrix’s “Lover Man”. Tens of thousands of motorsports enthusiasts, drivers, and fans alike attended the event that featured dozens of legendary Porsche champion-winning and classic racecars at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna. The festival takes place every three to four years, as hosted by Porsche Cars North America (PCNA).
