Brooklyn-based Americana duo The Brother Brothers have released the second single from their forthcoming debut album, SOME PEOPLE I KNOW, out October 19 on Compass Records. Relix magazine premiered “Mary Ann” today, noting the band’s “natural harmonies and evocative lyricism that reflect a timeless sound and spirit.” Today’s release follows their first single, “Frankie,” for which Billboard praised the brothers’ “soulful folk.” “Frankie” also appeared on Spotify’s Fresh Folk and New Music Friday playlists.

STREAM “MARY ANN”

Adam and David Moss tell us of the song, “On its face, the song is a letter to our many friends who struggle with depression, letting them know that no matter how long they seek solitude or how far away their friends may seem, we’re always there and understand on many levels what they’re going through, and we’ll be waiting.”

The Brother Brothers will support the critically acclaimed super-trio I’m With Her on tour this fall. The identical twins aren’t new to sharing a stage with renowned talent, having recently opened for Big Thief, Lake Street Dive, Shakey Graves and more. In addition to the support run, The Brother Brothers will celebrate their record release with a show in NYC on October 19 at Brookyln Pool and showcase at AmericanaFest in Nashville on Tuesday, September 11.
