In celebration of Gov’t Mule‘s first album in four years, the band will embark on the Revolution Come… Revolution Go’ Tour this summer. This will follow the band’s Come What May Tour this spring, kicking off with a headlining show at Central Park SummerStage on May 17th in New York City. Full routing below for all upcoming dates. Steeped in the roots and mystique of rock, blues, soul, jazz and country, Revolution Come… Revolution Go is Gov’t Mule‘s most diverse album to date and enriches their distinguished legacy with cleverly-crafted songs, and downright incendiary playing, while the depth and breadth of the band’s stunning songwriting is displayed with full force. “Dreams & Songs” elegantly showcases the more personal side of the album, which also features timely lyrical commentary on the emotions that Americans are feeling in this divided political climate. The band began recording the album in Austin, TX, on Election Day in November 2016, with half the country poised for upset no matter the outcome. While Gov’t Mule‘s storytelling has always been inspired in part by American struggles and experiences, Revolution Come… Revolution Go finds the band’s finger on the pulse of the tension and emotions felt all across the country regardless of political affiliation. These lyrical observations are threaded together with a message of unity and a reminder that we are all in this together.
