Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit have announced the second leg of their U.S. tour in support of the highly-anticipated album The Nashville Sound, out June 16 on Southeastern Records/Thirty Tigers. The new dates include a Midwest run featuring two nights in Chicago followed by West Coast dates with stops in Los Angeles, Oakland and Seattle along with shows planned in the Southwest and Southeast. See a full list below.
The Nashville Sound is the follow up to 2015’s critically acclaimed Something More Than Free, winner of two Grammy Awards. The positive reaction to The Nashville Sound thus far has been exceptional, with an early 4.5 star review in American Songwriter, a compelling write up and premiere at Noisey and an insightful feature premiere at Entertainment Weekly.com. In June, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will perform on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and CBS Saturday Morning as well as Isbell’s debut appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and more.
Jason Isbell has become one of the most respected songwriters of this era, and when he steps onto the stage with the mighty 400 Unit they become one of the strongest live acts on the road today, captivating audiences worldwide. The 400 Unit features Derry deBorja (keyboards), Chad Gamble (drums), Jimbo Hart (bass), Amanda Shires (fiddle) and Sadler Vaden (guitar). In March, tickets for a five-night run at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium in October sold out in just two hours.
The Nashville Sound was recorded at Nashville’s legendary RCA Studio A and produced by Grammy Award-winner Dave Cobb.
