Celebrated singer-songwriter Glen Hansard is set to embark on a string of uncharacteristically intimate North American dates this February.
Hansard is renowned for his work as the songwriter behind Once – movie and musical, which has garnered it’s fair share of awards. He is also known for his work as one half of The Swell Season and lead singer of famed Irish band, The Frames.
Hansard will be performing songs from throughout his career including his latest release, Rhythm & Repose, which Magnet Magazine said “has given him a deeper, haunting sense of quiet that strips these melodies to their essential, fragile beauty, delivered with joy, grace, and a wounded wisdom.”
Hansard will be joined on this run of shows by the Rhythm & Repose wrecking crew consisting of bass player Brad Albetta (Martha and Rufus Wainwright), keyboardist Thomas Bartlett (Doveman, The National) and Rob Moose (yMusic Ensemble, Bon Iver) on strings.
