Anti- is thrilled to announce that the new EP by Grammy winning Saharan band Tinariwen is now in stores. The record is entitled Inside / Outside: Joshua Tree Acoustic Sessions and features five beautifully hypnotic and intensely intimate acoustic songs recorded in the Joshua Tree desert of California while the band were working on their latest album Emmaar.
In addition Popmatters is releasing a new video for Tinariwen’s song “Arhegh-Danagh” from the album Emmaar. The clip features the band performing in the California desert, the music, their faces and movements merging beautifully with the wide open timeless landscape.

Tinariwen’s uniquely moving and transcendental sound was recently described by The New Yorker magazine, who wrote, “Their music swells to something almost as cathartic as loud rock music while being entirely unlike it.”
The band is embarking on a series of North American tour dates culminating on November 10th in New York City for an event called Anti-thesis. Curated by Daniel Lanois, the night will feature Tinariwen along with Lanois, The Antlers and special guest Lonnie Holley.
