Only two weeks until Lockn’ Festival 2014, September 4-7th at the Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, VA. This year’s line-up includes the only area appearance by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Allman Brothers Band in their last festival appearance, Wilco, Widespread Panic with Steve Winwood, Willie Nelson, The String Cheese Incident, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Keller Williams, and many more. Just announced is Bill Kreutzmann’s Locknstep Allstars – Bill Kreutzmann, Aron Magner, Oteil Burbridge and Steve Kimock, with special guests Taj Mahal, Papa Mali, Keller Williams, Col. Bruce Hampton, EOTO and Tom Hamilton. These artists each share a special connection with drummer Bill Kreutzmann, the heartbeat of the Grateful Dead for 30 years.
Oak Ridge Farm is located at the foot of the Blue Ridge, in Central Virginia, 35 miles south of Charlottesville, and approximately 100 miles from both Washington, DC and Richmond, VA.
Unique to the Lockn’ Festival are two side-by-side main stages, and when one band finishes the next stage lights up creating interlocking music. There is no down time. Many artists perform more than once over multiple days with musicians joining together on-stage for special once-in-a-lifetime performances.
In the Local Tent, guests will find top area chefs interlocking with their producers and farmers to bring them high quality, fresh food. Guests will also enjoy unique programming on the “Edible” Stage featuring daily “Chef Throwdowns” judged each time by an artist, a producer and a Lockn’ fan. Lockn’ is also showcasing local breweries and wineries in the Brewers’ Village and Lockn’ Vineyard located on the Show Field. See below for a full list of food and beverage participants.
