Dex Romweber Duo has announced a stretch of March tour dates with rowdy three piece Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band and banjo playing extraordinaire Dom Flemons, formerly of Carolina Chocolate Drops. The dates are part of Reverend Peyton’s conceptualized Big Damn Roots Revolution Tour, and start on March 14 in Chicago.
For a quarter century, Dex Romweber has brandished an idiomatic blend of surf, proto-rockabilly, garage, and dark and vengeful blues; first with the legendary Flat Duo Jets and now with his sister Sara on drums in the Dex Romweber Duo. The tour comes just in time for the release of the band’s fantastic new album Images 13 (out 3/18) on Bloodshot Records.
With a reputation for their incendiary live shows, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band will unleash their ferocious roots/blues explosion to the masses alongside some of their favorite artists for what is sure to be an unforgettably evening of roots music. The band tours behind their latest release Between the Ditches.
As a member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops and now a solo troubadour, Dom Flemons has traveled the world impressing audiences from Ireland, England, Scotland, Holland and more with his outrageous performance style. “I always try to keep the audience guessing,” Dom says, “it makes the performance more interesting.”
