Atlanta-based psychedelic rock band Gringo Star are preparing for the next leg of their US tour in support of their recently released new album Floating Out To See. The ‘Floating Out To See LP Release Tour,’ will feature a limited vinyl run of the new album at all dates. Vinyl copies ofFloating Out To See can be purchased over at Amazon.com by clicking HERE. Floating Out To See cracked the top 40 on CMJ this week, landing at #38 overall.
The tour begins in the band’s home state of Georgia this Thursday, and continues along the east coast with dates in New York City (Nov 16) and Washington DC (Nov 21), before heading across the Midwest at the beginning of December, including a date in Chicago (Dec 12). Floating Out To See was produced, engineered, and mixed by Gringo Star and recorded at Studio 234 in Atlanta. Floating Out To See follows the band’s first two records, 2008’s All Y’alland 2011’s Count Yer Lucky Stars, which were both engineered by James Salter and produced by Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Gnarls Barkley, Deerhunter).
