LOUISVILLE, KY – The Forecastle Festival is excited to announce the addition of several late night shows to its acclaimed lineup for the 11th annual three-day music set to take place July 12 – 14, 2013 at Louisville’s scenic, award-winning Waterfront Park.
Wick-It the Instigator and Eliot Lipp will kick off the late night shows on Friday, July 12. Saturday, July 13 will bring up-and-comers Houndmouth hosting a night with special guests Night Beds, The Wheeler Brothers and more.
Both separately-ticketed late night shows will take place on the historic Belle of Louisville steamboat, the oldest operating steamboat in the U.S.
Tickets for both events will go on sale on Friday, May 13 at noon at Forecastlefest.com, Ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets. Festival weekend pass purchasers will also have first go at tickets to the shows through an online pre-sale.
These after-shows come in addition to a special performance by jam masters The String Cheese Incident, set to take place at the Louisville Palace Theatre on Saturday, July 13. Tickets for this event are still available in limited quantities.
Highlighted in Rolling Stone as a top event in 2012, and acclaimed by Outside as one of the “Top 15 Outdoor Festivals in the USA,” the Forecastle Festival has evolved into one of the country’s premier festival destinations. The event offers an immersive experience that’s distinctly Louisville- beyond the first-class musical lineup—highlighting the region’s burgeoning culinary and arts scene, Kentucky’s unique bourbon heritage and more. The festival continues to emphasize sustainability practices and conservation initiatives, highlighted through the festival’s non-profit organization, the Forecastle Foundation.
