Austin, Tx – The 5th annual International Music Festival Conference (IMFCON) – happening December 8-10, 2013 in Austin, Texas – unveils its first round of entertainment industry leaders confirmed to participate in the 2013 event as part of the conference’s daily Agenda. Hosted together with its sister conference, the International Film Festival Summit (IFFS) – currently celebrating its 10th event, each year IMFCON andIFFS bring together the most recognized entertainment executives and music and film festival professionals to network, brainstorm, establish partnerships and better understand the latest trends in their fast-paced and ever-evolving business landscape.

Hailed as a “must attend” event by top festival professionals and “an invaluable resource” by the industry’s emerging business talent, IMFCON2013 boasts an impressive list of festivals to be represented – including several of “The World’s Best Music Festivals” (Jetsetter ). Among the speakers confirmed thus far: Martin Elbourne, main booker/Glastonbury; John Warren, road manager/Lady Gaga; Philip Blaine, former business development and art curator/Insomniac Events; Dede Flemming, co-founder/Lightning in a Bottle; Chris Roach, Business Development/AEG Digital Media, Caroline Burruss, vice president of development/Austin City Limits Live; David Silbaugh, talent buyer/Summerfest; Ryan Kruger, managing director/Live Nation Canada; Kevin Lyman, producer and creator/Vans Warped Tour; and Peter Manning, talent buyer/C3 Presents.

Featured 2013 IMFCON speakers will discuss a broad range of industry topics – from festival operations, talent buying, electronic dance music, programming, branding, sponsorship and so much more. “Festivals are one of the fastest growing parts of the entertainment industry today,” explains IMFCON/IFFS executive director Laurie Kirby. “As the only conference focused on this segment of the industry, we’re honored to host the crème de la crème of industry leaders speaking on behalf of some the most iconic festivals in the world.”

Indeed, IMFCON offers both speakers and attendees a terrific opportunity to learn and network. In 2012 over 400 registrants attended- utilizing education, outreach and knowledge sharing to foster a deeper understanding of the music and film festival industry. As 2012 panelist JK McKnight, founder of Forecastle Festival, explains, “IMFCON was a great opportunity to share best practices and real world experiences, with a truly attentive and resourceful audience in a relaxed and communal environment. It also allowed me to network with industry colleagues and forge new relationships that only could have happened at IMFCON.”
