DENVER, CO– Leftover Salmon is excited to announce a partnership with Breckenridge Brewery. This summer we will be delivering new songs from Leftover Salmon through download cards you get when buying Breck beer. To launch this LoS is hosting Happy Hour parties sponsored by Breckenridge Brewery each night of their 3-night run at the Bluebird Theater in Denver on Thursday- Saturday, March 28-30th.
Breckenridge Brewery is offering free beer to the first 20 LoS ticket holders at the Happy Hour each night as well as beer specials! There will be LoS and Breck Brew giveaways, a Conscious Alliance Food Drive (Donate 25 cans of food for a FREE 3 poster set or 10 cans for one poster), and you just never know who will show up… The Happy Hours take place from 5:30-7:30pm each night before the Salmon show at the Bluebird. Locations where Breck will be taking over the taps are: Thursday at Atomic Cowboy, Friday at Irish Snug, Saturday at Atomic Cowboy. Also, get in on the action of the late-night Live Jams at the Park House after the Bluebird shows! Park House will be featuring local musicians including The SoulFax Sessions featuring Daniel Walker, Chris Speasmaker (Fox Street All Stars), and Dave Solzberg (Fox Street All Stars)on Thursday; Caribou Mountain Collective on Friday; and Stereo Giants on Friday and Saturday nights with special guests sitting in each night.

NPR’s Mountain Stage heralded Colorado’s Leftover Salmon as “one of the most beloved acts on America’s summer-festival circuit” as they’ve returned from an eight year hiatus touring with their new album Aquatic Hitchhiker [released May 22, 2012 on LoS Records]. They emerged on the scene in Boulder, CO in 1989 as one of the first bluegrass bands to add drums and tour rock & roll bars, helping Salmon become a pillar of the jam band scene and unwitting architects of the jam grass genre. “This is one fish that has only gotten better with age. Fiery solos and elements of country, bluegrass, jazz and jam rock combine into a heady mix of feel-good tunes — and some that carry a hefty message, as well,” said CMT in 2012.
Looking back over the past 25 years of rootsy, string-based music, the impact of Leftover Salmon is impossible to deny. Today, Leftover Salmon is: Vince Herman (vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin); Drew Emmitt (vocals, mandolin, acoustic and electric guitar, mandola, fiddle); Andy Thorn (vocals, acoustic and electric banjo, National guitar); Greg Garrison (vocals, acoustic and electric bass, acoustic guitar); Jose Martinez (drums, percussion).

Back in the late 80’s (right around when Leftover Salmon was just starting up in the area) Breckenridge’s founder’s homebrewed creations were a hit, and soon he was spending more time brewing than skiing. So he chased after another dream – making exceptional beer for a living and the original Breckenridge Brewery opened in 1990. The founder’s ski bum days were over, and so were the days of bland beer for the folks in Colorado’s ski country.
Today Breckenridge Brewery continues to work hard to satisfy the thirsts of discerning beer drinkers. In the past two decades they’ve grown from a small 3,000-barrels-a-year brewpub to one of the most successful craft beer companies in the nation. They now handcraft nearly 53,000 barrels of fresh beer each year and sell it across Colorado and 35 other states.
