Hot on the heels of the band’s self-titled debut record selling its 500,000th copy to go Gold, Denver-based band The Lumineers have been nominated for two GRAMMY awards, Best New Artist and Best Americana Album.

The Lumineers was released back in April 2012 on Dualtone, following breakthrough performances at SXSW. In the coming months, the album has steadily climbed the charts each week, typically selling more copies with each subsequent week than the preceding week. With this week’s sales over 27 thousand, the album’s sales totals are at a running total of 516,000 copies.

The lead-single “Ho Hey” is just a few weeks away from double platinum status and has garnered over 20 million views of the official video on Youtube while climbing to #1 at both AAA and Alternative radio formats. “Ho Hey” is currently #6 at Hot AC and #8 at Pop while the second single “Stubborn Love” has quickly risen to Top 5 at AAA. These songs have anchored The Lumineers’ self-titled record on the Billboard Top 200 for thirty-five weeks since release, while also positioning the band for the Best New Artist and Best Americana Album nominations.

The 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards ceremony will take place on February 10th, 2013.
