moe., Relix Magazine and Jambands.com have partnered to offer three lucky (and skilled) fans the opportunity to join the band onstage during one of the three nights leading up to New Year’s Eve. One fan will join moe. per night on stage for one song in Worcester (12/28 & 12/29) and Portland (12/30).
Interested participants should share their musical prowess in a YouTube video audition for a chance to jam with the group. The members of moe. will then judge the videos and choose. Each winner will receive two All Access passes for their show night, and the winner will get to sit in with the band for a moe. song of their choice (final approval of song will come from band). The winner must be available for sound check on the afternoon of the given show. A year’s subscription to Relix will be included in the prize package.
While moe. will make the final decision, you can weigh in with your thoughts as we will post the videos right here on Relix.com (and give updates via Jambands.com as well).
Here are the official rules:
Contest is open to all ages, but fans 17 and under must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
You must have your own gear and be able to be at the venue by 3pm for a 4pm sound check.
Each winner will know in advance what song he/she will play that night and must keep it a secret. If the song gets leaked, you might get kicked out of the band!
By participating in this contest, moe., Relix and Jambands.com have the right to use your videos for promotional purposes of these events and future ones like them. The winner automatically agrees to waive all rights to any recordings, photographs or video during the shows.
Audition videos should not be more than 3 minutes in length – just enough to show off your chops on your instrument of choice. Vocalists can apply too! You do NOT need to choose a moe.song for the audition (but moe. would be stoked to hear your renditions if you do).
Upload your video to your YouTube channel with the title “I WANNA BE IN MOE.” and email a direct link to moe.contests@gmail.com by midnight on Saturday, December 15th. Please include your full name and a phone number to reach you in your email. While we cannot guarantee you will get your chosen date, feel free to indicate a show preference in your email if you have one.
