Denver-based band The Lumineers are enjoying plenty of success on the radio and in sales. The band’s popular first single “Ho Hey” has spent the last five weeks at #1 on Triple A Radio, and is ranked Top 10 Audience at Alternative Radio as well. The video for “Ho Hey” has also just been added by CMT. This news is hot on the heels of the band’s best week of album-sales yet for their great debut album. The self-titled album landed last week at #17 on the charts with over 28,000 records sold; it was the band’s best single-selling week since the album’s release on April 3 via Dualtone. The album was #1 on the Independent charts last week, and has sold over 130,000 copies to date. On top of all this, the band will be performing on NBC’s The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on July 25 next week.
The Lumineers are currently a featured artist on VH1’s “You Oughta Know” for this month and will continue into August. Launched in 2004, VH1’s “You Oughta Know” franchise introduces promising new artists on the rise to VH1’s base of music lovers.
