(New York, NY) —  moe. is excited to announce that moe.down 2012 will take place back where the festival got its start thirteen years ago; Snow Ridge in Turin, NY.  In addition to this change, the event will now run from August 10 – 12, 2012, for three days of music, camping and fun, with moe. scheduled to play six sets over the entire weekend.

This year’s moe.down lineup features Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, North Mississippi Allstars Duo, The Wood Brothers, Umphrey’s McGee, Galactic,  Marco Benevento, Kyle Hollingsworth and SOJA.

The revolving cast of The Everyone Orchestra will showcase the talents of founder/conductor Matt Butler, guitarist Steve Kimock, bassist Andy Hess, drummer Jeff Sipe, and more.

moe.down continues its history of  introducing new bands to their fans with Bright Light Social Hour, JC Brooks and The Uptown Sound, Infantree, Leroy Justice and a mix of young local upstate New York bands like Aqueos and Timbre Coup.

moe. is proud to have played with many of these talented musicians over the years including: Umphrey’s McGee, with whom moe. have shared the headlining spot at the annual Summer Camp festival in Chillicothe, IL for the past 10 years, their friends Galactic; who have played with moe. since the 1999 Summer Sessions tour and Grace Potter and The Nocturnals; who shared the stage with moe. at numerous shows and festivals dating back to 2006, most notably moe.’s late night set at Bonnaroo in 2009 where the two bands did a switch on stage at 3am.

The band also welcomes to the moe.down fold, Kyle Hollingsworth Band (Hollingsworth’s band the String Cheese Incident accompanied moe. as part of the 1999 Summer Sessions tour); and Marco Benevento, who previously joined moe. for their 2010 Benefit show for World Hunger Year at The Roseland Ballroom in New York City. Chris Wood of The Wood Brothers also plays with long-time friends of moe., Medeski, Martin and Wood, who have been sharing bills with the band since 1996.

Although moe. has enjoyed the festival’s change of scenery for the past two years,  there’s no denying that Snow Ridge feels like moe.down’s home. Many of the band members grew up skiing in Turin, NY and over the years the area has proven to be very camper-friendly. The moe. organization would like to thank everyone at Gelston Castle Estates for two great years, and wish them much success with events there in the future.
