Van Ghost’s smoky southern rock and fine-tuned soul balladry will be unleashed July 17 with the release of their label debut, ‘The Domino Effect.’  Led by veteran Chicago music promoter Michael Harrison Berg and the inimitable, larger-than-life voice of Jennifer Hartswick – a veteran of the Trey Anastasio Band who has shared the stage with The Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews, Carlos Santana, and Herbie Hancock – Van Ghost recalls the sunny folk and pop sensibility of Grace Potter & The Nocturnals and Ryan Adams while channeling the unforgettable melodies of groups like Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and Steely Dan.

The music video for Van Ghost’s “Cage” has premiered on myISH, a new YouTube channel dedicated to discovering new music.  The video will be featured for the entire week and was hand-picked by Channel Manager Hallie Harris. Watch here: http://www.youtube.com/myish

The tone for ‘The Domino Effect’ is introduced on the ethereal title track, with Hartswick’s soulful croon swooping in mid-song, building toward a high-intensity guitar solo amid a repeated refrain. Hartswick takes the lead on “Drowning,” a ballad that shows off the band’s delicate harmonic interplay, while Grant Tye’s swirling guitar bursts to the forefront on the blues-soaked “Decisions.” ‘The Domino Effect’ was produced by GRAMMY-award-winning producer Justin Niebank (Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift).

Consisting of Berg, Hartswick, Grant Tye (guitar), Greg Marsh (drums), and Klem Hayes (bass) – Van Ghost will showcase songs from ‘The Domino Effect’ on the road this summer, including an appearance at the Summer Camp Music Festival on May 25-27 along with Common, Umphrey’s McGee, Jane’s Addiction, and Pretty Lights, a tour with Bruce Hornsby, and an appearance at the North Coast Music Festival along with The Rapture, Yacht, Rebirth Brass Band, and more.
