New York, NY – Mat Kearney is extending his current headlining tour of the US with additional West Coast dates in support of his latest album Young Love – out now on Aware/Universal Republic. Mat is announcing these as he wraps up the second leg of his six week coast-to-coast run that included sold out shows at Mayan Theatre in LA, House of Blues in Boston, Center Stage in Atlanta, Ogden Theatre in Denver, In The Venue in Salt Lake City, Showbox in Seattle, Roseland in Portland, First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN, House of Blues in San Diego and the McDonald Theatre in Eugene, OR.
The music from Young Love continues to reach new fans as the second single “Ships in the Night” makes its way up the Hot AC and AAA Charts. The song is the featured music in the promo for NBC’s new series Awake which aired during this year’s Superbowl and Mat is set to premiere “Ships in the Night” on late night TV with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on February 28th. In addition, “Young, Dumb and in Love” fromYoung Love is the featured music in the promo spots for the new Judd Apatow/HBO Show called “Girls.”
The new batch of West Coast headlining dates kick-off on April 3rd at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA and has Mat visiting several California cities his Young Love tour has yet to hit.
