Grammy-award winning singer/songwriter/guitarist Keb Mo is counting down to the August 2 release of his highly-anticipated new album, The Reflection (Yolabelle/Ryko). Beginning Monday June 20, exclusive video content will be released on Keb Mo’s Facebook page facebook.com/kebmomusic every Monday and Friday through July 29. Fans can access the footage by clicking the “Like” button underneath each video.
Each of the 12 videos will focus on one song off The Reflection. Within the footage, Keb shares insight from his recording experience, personal stories, lyrical meanings, and much more – including small acoustic bits from almost every song off the record. He talks openly and candidly about his excitement for The Reflection, the journey he’s taken to create each song, and what his fans can truly expect from it all.
The Facebook videos will run in tandem with TNT webisodes about their hit drama Memphis Beat. Keb is the composer for the show and performs the theme song. Keb will discuss the show’s music and the episodes the day after each show, here.
The Reflection is now available to pre-order on Amazon. The first single, “The Whole Enchilada,” is available to purchase at iTunes. The track recently premiered on Rolling Stone and is among the most added singles at Triple A Radio.
A gifted songwriter, Keb’s songs have been covered by legendary artists including BB King, Natalie Cole and more and he has appeared on recordings by Willie Nelson, Ray Charles and Jackson Browne, to name a few. Additionally, his music has made numerous appearances in film and television, most notably in Martin Scorsese: Feel Like Going Home, concert documentary “Lightning in a Bottle,” and more.
