The second annual Lockn’ Festival will bring back the “Participation Row” non-profit village. Qello Concerts, the premier provider of full-length HD concerts and music documentaries streamed on-demand to any device, is the presenting sponsor of the experience. At last year’s Participation Row, 5,700 actions were taken at non-profit booths, 1,500 pounds of food were donated, and $50,000 was raised for the participating organizations.

To celebrate the return of Participation Row, Qello Concerts unveiled a Lockn’ themed Setlist, which is like a playlist, but with concert video, available free to anyone who visits Qelloconcerts.com. The Setlist includes live video performances by Lockn’ headliners Gary Clark Jr., Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Grace Potter, Steve Winwood, the Allman Brothers Band, Willie Nelson, and more.

HeadCount.org, the NY-based civic engagement organization that coordinates Participation Row, says this year’ will be even better than last. The nine VA-based organizations who were part of Participation Row at the inaugural Lockn’ will return, joined by new local groups Light House Studio, Rockfish Valley Foundation, United Plant Savers, Wintergreen Adaptive Sports, Wintergreen Vol. Fire Dept, and Recycle Life Org. Two additional organizations, Conscious Alliance and F.A.T.E., will be supporting the Nelson County Pantry with food and financial donations. The Amend-O-Matic StampMobile, an interactive Rube Goldberg machine for stamping money out of politics, created by Ben & Jerry’s Co-Founder Ben Cohen, will also be on hand.

Once again this year, the village will be anchored by the “Qello Concerts Lounge,” where fans can kick back and experience Qello’s music concert library in full HD. The lounge is also home to the Silent Auction where attendees can bid on a guitar and poster signed by the festival’s headlining artists. A second guitar is also raffled off for free. To enter the drawing, fans just need to visit four non-profit booths and take designated actions, like signing a petition or playing an educational game. Fans also receive a free 30-day Qello Concerts “All Access Pass” for participating.

Brian Lisi, Qello CEO says “We’re so glad to be back sponsoring Participation Row! It’s a great opportunity to bring incredible organizations to so many people that are passionate about live music. It’s a true win-win all around.” Lockn’ promoter Peter Shapiro adds, “Participation Row is central to what makes Lockn’ the unique and memorable festival that it is. Festival attendees are going to leave this year’s festival feeling they were a part of something special.”

Lockn’ 2014 will host the only area performance by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Furthur and Wilco’s only 2014 festival appearances, The Allman Brothers Band’s last festival appearance, and a one-of-a-kind collaboration by Widespread Panic and Steve Winwood. Among the numerous additional artists, Phil Lesh & Friends, Bob Weir & RatDog, Wilco, Widespread Panic and The String Cheese Incident will all be playing full sets on two different days each. Lockn’ is bike friendly, encouraging patrons to bring their bikes – both to get around the event site and take advantage of the 30+ bike trails on the scenic property.
